Here’s what you can expect a service technician to do during a routine maintenance check:
- Check systems functions, safety controls, and adjust the operating sequence where appropriate
- Inspect all wiring and connections
- Ensure proper airflow and change any dirty air filters
- Check belts and adjust tension
- Lubricate all moving parts
- Check and adjust thermostat
Spring Check-up
• Check for adequate refrigerant charge and possible leaks
• Check evaporator coil
• Clean condensing coil
• Check that condensate drain is open
Fall Check-up
• Clean burner assembly
• Remove soot from fireside of burner
• Inspect heat exchanger for cracks
• Adjust air-to-fuel ratio of burner and perform combustion analysis
